A constant theme in this photo project has been construction and development. Even though the neighbourhood can look apocalyptic at times, I can safely say that construction is one of the many constant states Hillhurst and Sunnyside are in. I would hazard to guess that in another twenty years, the neighbourhood will be unrecognizable from what it is today, and the people who live there then will have their gripes about the construction that they’ve had to endure (that’s another constant state).
