“His name is Stout. We think the name fits him perfectly. He’s a bit older, but he loves all dogs just the same. This is such a great dog walking neighbourhood, isn’t it? You meet so many people with their families and pets, all walking together. It’s wonderful here.”

“I love Halloween in this neighbourhood. So many people in Sunnyside and Hillhurst dress their houses up for the event. Last year we had over a hundred and fifty kids at our place! This year it’s on a Saturday night too!

I hope the weather holds up for the kids!”

“You know what you should focus on? The trees. They’re the real long-time residents of Sunnyside. Some of those trees were planted before the First World War. Can you imagine? What would they say if they could talk?”

“I love this neighbourhood in the fall. It’s beautiful for about a day and then all of a sudden the wind blows through and all the leaves with it. Autumn in Sunnyside lasts about six hours and then it’s winter.”
