“His name is Stout. We think the name fits him perfectly. He’s a bit older, but he loves all dogs just the same. This is such a great dog walking neighbourhood, isn’t it? You meet so many people with their families and pets, all walking together. It’s wonderful here.”

“Rise and shine Canada! Time to get out there and exercise your civil right and responsibility to vote!” Constituents in the area vote at Hillhurst/Sunnyside Community Centre. Hillhurst and Sunnyside reside in the newly created Calgary-Confederation electoral region–a highly contested riding.

“I love Halloween in this neighbourhood. So many people in Sunnyside and Hillhurst dress their houses up for the event. Last year we had over a hundred and fifty kids at our place! This year it’s on a Saturday night too!

I hope the weather holds up for the kids!”

And then we go to sleep to it. It’s really getting too much to handle. I hope it’s over soon.”

“You have to run the gauntlet of: construction vehicles, workers, materials, fences, trenches, bridges, poor lighting, angry bystanders… They should just leave the roads this until Remembrance Day so people can re-enact World War I conditions.”
